 Law Enforcement and Media Must Collaborate to Ensure Regional Peace: Sattar Zeb

​Bureau Chief 'Daily Jahan-e-Such' Sattar Zeb and NPCIJ Vice President Muhammad Akbar Khan Hold High-Level Meeting with DSP Takht Bhai Abid Khan Afridi

​TAKHT BHAI (Bureau Report): In a strategic move to bolster regional security and bridge the gap between the public and law enforcement, a high-level delegation led by Sattar Zeb, Bureau Chief of Daily Jahan-e-Such (Mardan Division), and Muhammad Akbar Khan, Provincial Vice President of the National Peace Council International Justice (NPCIJ), called upon DSP Takht Bhai Abid Khan Afridi at his office.

​The meeting focused on the prevailing law and order situation, the eradication of narcotics, and the implementation of community-centric policing in the sub-division.

​Commitment to Crime Prevention

​During the discussion, DSP Abid Khan Afridi highlighted that, following the directives of the IGP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and DPO Mardan, a "Zero Tolerance" policy has been adopted against criminal elements. He emphasized that the primary mission of the Takht Bhai police is to provide immediate justice to the aggrieved and ensure that the law is applied equally to all.

​The Role of Journalism in Social Reform

​Bureau Chief Sattar Zeb underscored the significance of the media as the fourth pillar of the state. He remarked that responsible journalism plays a vital role in identifying social evils and supporting the administration in maintaining order. He assured the DSP that his organization would continue to promote factual reporting to strengthen public trust in the police force.

​Promoting Social Harmony via NPCIJ

​Representing the National Peace Council International Justice (NPCIJ), Muhammad Akbar Khan noted that sustainable development is impossible without lasting peace. He lauded the police department's recent successful operations against anti-social elements and reaffirmed the NPCIJ’s commitment to fostering brotherhood, justice, and tolerance within the community. He particularly praised the improved conduct of officers toward complainants.

​The DSP concluded the meeting by thanking the delegation for their visit and constructive suggestions. He urged the residents of Takht Bhai to act as the "eyes and ears" of the department by reporting suspicious activities immediately.
